For my Obama-loving friend’s birthday, I thought there could be no greater gift than me tracking down a lovely e-cake to help celebrate his special day.

I follow Arsenal, and striker Robin van Persie is one of my favorite players on the team. He scores goals, but best of all, he absolutely fucking flails his arms every which way all the time. Running, jumping, dribbling, shooting, they are always out flapping about like wings or fish or something. It looks goofy, but I guess it’s like art or something in a way:
What are they doing up there? It’s only THE number one rule of soccer to use your feet instead of your hands.
Okay these arms really are artful and this whole picture looks like a ballet. He’s scoring here, so the flailing looks a little more full of beauty and grace than usual if that’s what you were thinking. Go Gunners!
I had Brad Pitt’s exact haircut here in my high school senior pictures, although I passed on the brown leather trench coat. Look at that thing! They should use this image in those Chick-fil-a “eat mor chikin” commercials.
This picture would really give me the creeps, but the more I look at the coat the more harmless the photo becomes. Plus, the way his hair looks wind blown reminds me of how Tyra Banks says a good model “creates his/her own wind.” Brad’s done alright since the 90’s, so I guess it’s true.
Doesn’t seeing Britney smile make you feel all warm and toasty inside? She speed raced through her opening statement, but baby steps are fine with me! She looks lovely! The rest of the show has been horrible, so it’s time to watch Mad Men!
The Democratic and Republican conventions do color analysis a little differently from one another! Imagine that. Not wishing to pull a Hillary by holding up several bright pantsuits ahead of time to see which one would shine most brightly, John McCain himself was THE variable- tested out against many colors of the rainbow during his speech tonight. On the fly! Which was the most flattering in this toss up?
This horrible lost weatherman green is not included in the toss up at all personally. Green is a great color.. trees, grass, one side of dollar bills, etc., but its good name is being ruined here:
I like the red better. It’s bold and reminds me of red hots, which I guess could be a nice political association:
Blue will get my vote though, and I think it flatters everyone no matter how outrageous a gesture they may be making (BIDEN):

During CNN’s coverage of Palin’s speech, they cut to one of these “Code Pink” ladies being escorted or AIRLIFTED out as she’s being carried away looking like an airplane going down. Crash landing! No explanation was offered when the incident was shown, so I guess the visual was enough. The guy’s face in the background is especially funny.
I promise this is the last one; I can’t get enough. All Biden pictures are good pictures! Who is he pointing and lunging at like that? What did they do to deserve it? Here Obama attempts to reel him back in:
I just turned on Conan, and the musical guest, Lykke Li, is singing everything through a megaphone! Into the microphone! What if it was through a telephone too? That’s all the phones that are coming to mind. I can’t really hear what she’s saying, but it’s not bad. Do people do this often live? Plus then she sort of uses it as a dance prop in between verses. I guess this is the future:
Well I have to say that my sense of political efficacy is EXTREMELY HIGH today because Biden is wearing that beautiful Biden blue tie again tonight for his big speech at the conviction. I like to think my compliment went all the way to the top of the political food chain. Doesn’t it look like he’s saying “I HEARD YOU” in this picture? A girl can dream!
